I pity the fool! No, wait, wrong guy

Has anyone out there reading this blog seen this movie? I haven't, but at some point I'm going to have to put it on my schedule. I mean, it sounds like it's excessive and disjointed, but if you're talking Dr. Seuss excessive and disjointed these may be virtues. There have been animated films based on Seuss' works, but his imagination hasn't much found its way into the live-action sphere. I've heard absurd rumors about a Cat in the Hat movie with Mike Myers, but I refuse to credit them.

Hans Conried apparently plays the title character. Between this and being the voice of Snidely Whiplash, he would seem to have a niche.

Did indeed see it but several decades seem to have passed since we did. Of course I'd recommend you check it out too.

Another weird but very modern one we managed to see recently was 'Rare Exports' - a most bizarre Santa story that didn't get to our local until after Christmas.

I think I remember reading a review of "Rare Exports" in the Boston Globe. It seems to be one of those movies that played Boston but not Providence, at least not that I found out about. Does seem like the kind of oddity I'd enjoy.
