Fun with coins

3. Sometimes state quarters were wondering if it’d be cool for them to bring a couple bros along? (New Jersey)

For quite funny, illustrated context see here.
One thing that just struck me. The Iowa quarter has a schoolhouse(?), tiny people planting a tree, and the words "Grant Wood." The name is just floating there. No picture of him, no "American Gothic" pastiche. It's like they're saying "Grant Wood came from here. Uh, don't ask us for proof."

I noticed #40 S. Dakota has Jefferson looking a bit like HP Lovecraft. I don't think I ever looked closely at the new state quarters other than to make sure they weren't nickels when I was getting on the bus.

I always liked seeing a new one. Little novelties like that tend to tickle me.

In the first draft of the Declaration of Independence, "that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights" read "that they have been extended a few measly priveleges by Yog-Sothoth and the Old Ones."
