Fine distinctions

Thursday.  It's Thursday.  The end of Thursday.  Not Friday.

That is, if I start thinking it's Friday night now, I'll think it's Saturday tomorrow.  And atsa no godd a-boss.  I need to go into work tomorrow.  Or at least make sure someone matching my general description does.

It doesn't take much for us to convince ourselves it's an entirely different day of the week. I think that's probably because the 'work week' is a human invention.

That's very true. The clock/schedule we live our lives - especially work lives - by is not only artificial but also political.
