Cleanup crew

They're still at it out there. The snow plows, I mean, and their drivers. Really it was only after nightfall that they would even have the opportunity to get anything done. And my hat's off to them. It's still going to be a production getting around tomorrow, but you can see well defined streets and the hints of sidewalks, at least. The sign of a job well done.

Not that I expect it to last much longer but so far this winter we've missed out on snow. Before yesterday's terrific windstorm it rained heavily so today the streets and sidewalks were clear. The bad part for us was losing our power for more than six hours and then the internet until 2pm today. I'm glad it sounds like you'll be able to get around okay.

I happened across a 'Bob and Ray' skit I hadn't heard before. You might like it too.

The rainstorm you had and the resulting loss of power sounds similar to something we got in the late fall. Fair amount of rain, but ridiculous wind. Some parts of the state were without power for the better part of a week. I know the library's internet was too slow to even bother with for a while because their server was in Warwick. We might get some flooding tomorrow too because of rain and melting snow, but knock on wood I'm not expecting it to be that drastic.

Did you mean the skit about the paperclip factory? That was funny and more than a little alarming, the way Bob's character was so pleased with himself.
