Getting cool

The biggest seasonal transition in the year is probably from summer to autumn. True autumn, that is, which can be delayed by any number of natural and man-made causes. But yes, whether or not you need to dress in layers in order to keep warm is more of a distinction than just how many layers you need, or how thick.

It feels like we're finally crossing that rubicon this year. Definitely you needed a substantial jacket today. That's sort of a homecoming. The heater didn't quite click on. That's not too far off, though.

Pretty much the same thing is going on here too with this being the first day in many months that we needed a bit more protection from what was just a coolish breeze the day before. It was good the hats were at hand too once we got to the ocean side of the park.
But, as you say, it comes on in its and starts. Tomorrow's forecast is for a sunny day in the mid 60s.

Oh, I do like the sound of "the ocean side of the park." Living in a place with sea air is always nice. Well, as long as sea levels don't rise at an alarming rate or anything crazy like that. Let's just say it's good to have an escape route.

We've had some very warm days since this post down here, too. Although it tends to get cooler at night.
