What's up, doc:

I was walking down the hill where I live this evening. I walked past someone's house/apartment building/you get the idea. There was a rustle in the bushes ahead of me. The cause turned out to be a little bunny either foraging or just stretching its legs. It wasn't a pet bunny, I'm pretty sure. Just one of God's wild creatures, out on its own. So yeah, I was kind of honored by that.

What a nice surprise. In the couple of years we've lived here and in consideration of the fact we've just seen rabbits twice in the park, and those not for long, we'd have to agree you're right to feel honored. Their only means of defence against predators is their ability to be elusive.

On another tack entirely you might enjoy this video Jer found yesterday - I'm Masking Alone Now. It's not the most brilliant thing ever but it certainly is relevant and kind of amusing too.

and I just remembered another, this one by Noel Coward.

I suppose a rabbit's teeth could be a kind of deterrent if they bit a predator in the right place. This is often a strategy for herbivores that eat tough things like roots. But otherwise, yes, it's all a matter of run, burrow, hide.

The Media Bear song is, shall we say, unsubtle, but I appreciate that they got the creepiest masks they could find.

That Noel Coward song is great. I remember this being my introduction to his kind of songwriting, but he had a sense of humor himself.
