Not too much to say about this. It just gave me a giggle. I've thought about joining support groups for things I don't have just as a way of socializing, but I'm not sure I'm equipped for a double life.
I'm reminded of the opening of Fight Club where Edward Norton's character went to support group sessions to meet girls. The one he met was a weird girl played by Helena Bonham Carter who was doing the same thing.

Yeah, I was sort of referring to that. One might say that it spiralled out of control for Norton. One could very definitely say that.
