Weird thing happened this week. Outside the library I met a guy from a place I used to work. We recognized each other but both needed some help with names. Anyway, he still works there but was shocked to learn that I didn't. You'd think that five years and change of not seeing someone would be enough to cause some doubt, but maybe not.

There are a number of people I haven't seen in a long while I probably wouldn't recognize immediately - generally that would be from work places. The one incident I remember quite well was seeing our old friend Geraldine after nearly ten years. We both stopped short for a moment and then began laughing at the changes time had made. Then we went on just the same as always.
Somehow your comment brought back to me that I did make a few trips per day to the water cooler when I worked there. The container I drank water from wasn't exactly, um, watertight. So I'd have to be careful of my shirt when I took a swig.
That sounds like a nice reunion you had with Geraldine. Who, if I'm not mistaken, is back in Ireland now. Hope things have returned to relative sanity there.
