The part of the year where we start talking about "good sleeping weather"

In the wake of the three day rainstorm that's just passed, I think I can say we've buried summer, dug up its grave, shot it, and buried it again.

This was one time when we missed your weather pattern altogether, other than a few clouds and sprinkles. Still, you're right about the sleeping weather. I unpacked the flannel nighties this morning.

We haven't quite arrived at the point where you can expect to hear the hiss of radiators in the morning. I have, however, stopped keeping my water pitcher in the fridge. In the spring and summer it warms up to comfortable drinking temperature within a few minutes, but not so later in the year.
