"Bomb Cyclone" sounds like the name of a club DJ who's trying too hard. Apparently that's what we got, though. Low pressure, tons of snow, starting last night and continuing until late afternoon or early evening today. You can't miss it.
So today has been a rare day that I don't leave the house. Did leave my apartment to check the mail, but I've stayed inside the building. Tomorrow I'll venture out, which is something to look forward to.

Re-naming normal weather events has become such common practice these past few years it wouldn't be surprising to hear about 'intermittent deluges' instead of sunshowers or to expect 'violent vortices' on a breezy summer day. Sheesh.
Still, that was a pretty good snowstorm. I'm glad you were wise enough to stay inside - a rare enough thing in your life, eh?
After our conversation I happened upon a new article by el gato malo on bad cattitude. It's called 'justin trudeau: a portrait in cowardice and projection'. It's amusing as well as accurate.
They certainly do love their colorful terminology, and I can't really blame them for that. Too bad they all seem to stick to the same script, though. Otherwise we might see some more weatherman rivalries in the world.
I've gone out in inclement weather before. Even blizzards. In this case, though, there wasn't much prospective reward for the risk. Why get wet and face the cold when everything, more or less, is going to be closed. Then I'd just be cold and wet on my own.
That's a pretty damn good article by El Gato Malo. If I'm not mistaken he's been banned from Twitter for the kind of vague, shifting reasons anybody is. His choice of subject is impeccable. Trudeau has exposed himself as an empty suit, a middling entry in a crowded field.
