Facets

This video depicts a sculptor I'm not familiar with. She's very good, though. Her works share elements with both Greek and Hindu models, while being their own thing. It's enlightening to watch her in the studio.

The video is titled "Sculpture and Puppetry." Apparently she does make puppets as well. They look good, but I regret that there's no moving footage of them.

It's too bad there was no film of her puppet shows but I loved seeing the sculptures, the ones as part of tree trunks were especially nice. It looked as if the kids watching her performance were also enjoying the experience of having puppets of their own.

When it comes to skilled but non-typical performances you may like this video I found the other day of molten fireworks. People are amazing.

It was definitely neat to see her at work in her sculpture studio. The kids did seem delighted by the puppets in their hands. Some things just feel right.

I was pretty wowed by the molten fireworks feature. It is a beautiful sight, and its birth in the ironworks is a fascinating story. I'm curious how long it takes for the molten iron to solidify once they've tossed it. Seems like they could just reuse it after a while.
