Well, apparently the above is actually a real thing, as detailed here and elsewhere. I have three responses.
1. Reflecting on your actions and attitudes is productive. Reflecting on your whiteness doesn't really seem to be.
2. There have always been nutty theories and there always will be. So the existence of charts like this doesn't bother me in itself. But of late people seem to have been confusing somebody's contentious doctoral thesis with real life. Also, is this actually supposed to be going to kids?
3. Hesse is overcounting. Sex and the City taught us that there are only four white identities. I say that as a confirmed Miranda.

well, of course, this reminded me of this (which belle forwarded to susan as something that supposedly was under consideration for classrooms in michigan): https://sites.education.miami.edu/crecer/wp-content/uploads/sites/22/2020/06/13-Principles-for-Elementary.pdf

had to check out the slow factory foundation: https://slowfactory.foundation/
which's run by these charming 'beautiful people' (check out their mysterious 'benefactor' at the very bottom): https://slowfactory.foundation/about
they seem to have a finger in just about every 'woke' pie under the sun. felt that this 'one x one" video (check out their partners) pretty much told me all i really needed to know bout them: https://onexone.earth/
what i'm not understanding? how these obviously private, for profit parties/individuals are managing to get their 'stuff' approved as school curriculum material. because it'd appear that just about anyone can submit anything, regardless of qualification, & get it accepted?...
& yes, this shit, currently combined with 'remote learning' (https://www.conservativewoman.co.uk/the-cruel-reality-of-online-school-in-a-12th-floor-flat/) really makes me concerned for the welfare (mental & spiritual) of the poor children at the receiving end. as resilient as kids can be, this's taking things to places beyond all rationality. it's sad & it's disturbing...
One thing you realize when you look at the proposals up for consideration in public education bidding is that the officials in charge have no concept of what they want to pass onto the next generation. If you have the means--always the biggest and most crucial "if"--you can propose almost any change to the curriculum and have it be given serious consideration. Either the people involved got nothing they value from the liberal arts education they grew up with or they want to pull up the ladder.
The Slow Factory Foundation seem pretty expert at making themselves look important. They hit pretty much every note, as you say. I only made it a few minutes into the "Earth x one" video. It wouldn't be out of place in The Manchurian Candidate or The Parallax View. Something to erase the memory of someone they're training to be an assassin.
They really are putting the squeeze on anyone with kids, people with an interest in the public schools. And now it's led to an ongoing public theatre report.
