Annals of climate change

Saturday morning I was in the shower and heard the wind howling. This was a huge, intense wind. And it's January, so I figured the weather would be more than a little raw. Thus I dressed for winter, even putting on long underwear.

Well, it turned out to be 70+ outside. And when you're bundled up like that a warm day doesn't feel "nice" or "beautiful", no matter how many people tell you it is.

Well, it was natural enough to assume it was cold outside being the middle of January as it is. Hopefully you were at least able to unzip your coat - if not carry it along on your journey.

We were wondering if you got to see 'Joker'. If not, that's just as well. If they'd just left out the reference to 'Batman' and have it simply be about a weird guy it would have been more acceptable.

Yeah, I opened my coat. If memory serves I also stuffed my sweater into the bag I was carrying. As to the long underwear and second set of socks, I just had to wait until I went home. Those would have come in more handy this past Friday.

There are enough interesting faces in Joker that I may watch it eventually, but I'm not in a rush. It would be weird if Joaquin Phoenix won an Oscar for playing the Joker, since Heath Ledger already has. I mean, it's a good character, but he's not Hamlet.
