AM

I hustled into work this morning.  It wasn't until after I had gotten there that I realized it was only 7, and that I'd arrived an hour early.  Someone needs to disarm an alarm at that hour, but luckily a fellow employee was pulling in who had the code.

It's maybe the second or third time that's happened to me on this job.  Interesting experience.  Definitely better than getting it wrong in the other direction, from a continued employment perspective.

I can't remember ever having made that mistake but I did err on the side of lateness more than once. Excuses involving buses became useless once they knew I lived a five minute walk away.

I guess you could still come up with cover stories. Camping trip? Touring abandoned factories? You have to make them sound natural, though. :)
