Low-key Tokyo weirdness

Some time ago I bought a copy of The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle. I immediately lost the book, so I put off reading it (and I'm sure that sentence would sound strange in translation.) Now I'm remedying that non-achievement.

I'm about halfway through, so there's a lot I can't really predict. I'm definitely interested. And I'll think twice before climbing into any old wells.

I'm glad you discovered Murakami as his view of the world is both unique and compelling. I'm not his biggest fan around here but I liked The Wind-Up Bird Chronicles as well as Hard Boiled Wonderland and the End of the World and Kafka on the Shore.

We're both looking forward to reading 1Q84 this fall when the English translation is released.

1Q84, from the thumbnail description I've read on Wikipedia, does sound pretty fascinating.

I'm entering the home stretch on this one. I'm glad he's got his cat back, at least
