This one's short and sweet. You don't generally see magicians do card tricks with only two cards. Or at least only two cards that are readily apparent. It's a clever little switcheroo regardless of how she pulled it off.

She did a very fine job handling the cards but as Jer immediately noted it was a mechanical trick rather than sleight of hand.

You might enjoy seeing a performance of the latter by Bernard Bilis who was a regular in a French variety show called le Plus Grand Cabaret du Monde. The host is pretty annoying but Bernard's act is a rare treat.

After rewatching the clip I think I know what you mean by mechanical trick. They're fake cards meant to mesh like that, although it does take some skill to not make it obvious.

The Bilis clip was a very impressive bit of slight-of-hand. He manages to match those cards seemingly blind. I feel like I've seen the greying gent who was sitting next to the young woman, but I can't quite place where.
