There were, of course, fireworks tonight. In the past, I've often gone down the hill to see them from a closer vantage point. But that requires putting on shoes and socks as well as doing the walking. Tonight that just wasn't going to happen. No, this heat was made for me hanging about barefoot in mangy shorts.
Still did see some of the fireworks. It's just they had to pass a higher threshold first. The ones I saw did look nice.

I hope it isn't too horribly hot for you. We got some but not too outrageous yet.
Fireworks are great fun but around here they seem to have cut them back to about 15 minutes. Not worth the walk down to the waterfront.

The heat comes and goes, relatively speaking. July 4 and the couple of days around it still stand as a high water mark.
Curious to know if the displays are shorter just because they can't afford so many or if it has to do with shrinking attention spans.
