Atsa real good

Yeah, another video post. Sue me.

I heard this scene on a radio station a little earlier tonight and had to dig up where it was from. Animal Crackers, an early one.

You have to hand it to Chico. It's hard enough to keep up with Groucho, one of the funniest men to have ever walked the earth. But Chico actually gets a chuckle out of Margaret Dumont. Italians tended to like his portrayal as well. He sort of codified the bad Italian accent.

I've always found the Marx Brothers movies hilarious and you're right that Chico found the perfect persona - as did Harpo. The two of them were wonderful musicians in their own way as well. Life was more fun when political correctness wasn't the issue it's become.

Speaking of pc here's a video posted just a few days ago you may enjoy.

The Marx Brothers seemed to have been a fun bunch in real life, as well. Not like their screen characters, of course, because how could you be? But fun. I've seen an appearance of Harpo's son on an old David Letterman show, where he looked fairly young. (Harpo's son, I mean, but Dave as well.)

That's a pretty good song. The backing music, apparently, is by a guy who's also half of Orbital.
