Thinking about something

Let me congratulate myself on the most boring header ever.

There's a story I'm kicking around. Not fiction, or at least I'm pretty sure it's not. It has to do with the days of the week. Don't know when, wear, or if this will see the light of day. But my brain's getting intermittently excited about it.

Entertaining an idea can be great fun as I know from experience.

Meanwhile, I came across a little story you may enjoy:

When I worked at the BBC, the Head of Television commuted in from Brighton every day.
He started reading The Exorcist on the train.
He said he thought it was the most evil book he'd ever read.
In fact, he said it was so evil he culdn't finish it.
So, at the weekend, he went to the end of Brighton pier and threw it as far as he could.
So I went to the bookshop.
I bought another copy.
Then I ran it under the tap.
And left it in his desk drawer.

Good thing I looked up this post again. Between one thing and another I had almost forgotten this idea already. It's still a good idea, though, and I'd like to get back to it.

That story about The Exorcist is pretty ticklish. You just have to make sure, if you want to pull off a trick like this, that you buy the same edition. No paperbacks if he was reading a hardcover, for instance.
