Honk if you...

Saw this on TV recently. Look, nothing is going to stop me from missing Talking Heads. That being said, I'm glad Byrne is still keeping it fresh in terms of ways to present his music.

Other enjoyable things. In the mornings I take a bus to Pawtucket before taking a connecting bus to Central Falls. The Pawtucket bus stop is on the Blackstone River, which some mornings draws birds. The birds include seagulls. Once in a while you see geese as well.  Yes, Canada geese walking on the grass, just chilling. I don't get too close. You don't want to piss them off, if what I've heard is correct. But you can hang out in their vicinity, and they're beautiful birds.

Thanks for the great video. We've watched Stop Making Sense several times over the years - always amazing and I'm ever glad you were with us to see that show.

It's good you get a little time out with the birds on the Blackstone River. One of our favorite activities has been bird watching at Beacon Hill Park - the great blue herons have begun arriving for their annual stay to raise their new families. Last year was the first time we'd ever seen them - 50 to 60 couples as a rule. The Canada geese have also begun arriving in large numbers for the same reason. Even though I'm not particularly fond of the adult geese as they are agressive and leave tons of messy waste behind their chicks are pretty cute. This area is a delight for bird watchers - hummingbirds, owls, eagles, loons, hawks and ducks galore. and seagulls..

I don't use social media but did see a link to this generous character the other day. All birds are beautiful :)

It was an exciting show. And Jonathan Demme did a subtly brilliant job bringing it to the screen.

These Canada geese are actually pretty well behaved. Maybe they don't want to upset the seagulls. One-on-one the goose would win handily but if you had seagulls coming at you from a few different directions it could be a different story. Beacon Hill sounds like a fine place to birdwatch. Owls can be few and far between to find. Maybe it's a nocturnal thing. Great blue herons are another advantage to living near the water.

I love that duck. Wonder what the story behind that clip is.
