Pyrotechnics eh

Fireworks have been going off this evening. I've heard them but haven't seen them, which means they're probably just in someone's backyard. Independence Day isn't for a couple of days yet. It is, however, Canada Day. So maybe a few people are just jumping the gun. Or maybe there's an underground of expatriate Canucks around hear planning to liberate the homeland.

You know, hope springs eternal in the human breast.

The Canada Day celebrations took place on the Parliament Building lawns - indigenous respect program, bouncy castles for the kids and face painting, along with food and the ten minute fireworks display. Who could ever forget the day the indigenous people set up the first bouncy castle? I'm pretty sure they did face painting too but not necessarily for kids as I recall.

I used to be proud of being a Canadian while I lived in the US - not so much now.

Maybe you could send me a copy of your sonnet? I liked hearing
it but it would be nice to read it myself.
