Today's an unusual day in comparison to other days around here. When I got home I didn't feel any need to change into shorts. I thought about it, but with the windows open it was actually a little chilly. I'm currently wearing a cardigan, in fact, albeit over a sporty short-sleeved shirt. So yeah, we're getting a little taste of autumn here.

I'm glad to hear it finally cooled down there a bit after what seemed to be an especially long hot spell for the east coast.
The weather here has been fine and just warm enough. On the other hand there's more smoke haze than I'd anticipated what with wildfires burning from here to California. The firefighters would surely appreciate some rain.
We had another hot spell, as I mentioned. That seems to be behind us. Of course the days when you could count on no more heatwaves once September started seem to be over.
There's still a lot to recommend California, I'm sure, but the fact that everything has been catching fire in recent years must give one pause. Thankfully BC is a different story.
