Harpsichord isn't used much in jazz. It doesn't slide into the combo easily like the piano does. .So I'm interested in hearing the results when jazz musicians do play harpsichord. This tune by Garner is a little baroque and a little bluesy. It does make you sit up and pay attention.

You're right that it's an unusual jazz instrument and equally correct in your assessment that Errol Garner was the right musician to do so. He was a master of keyboards and not just piano.
I think a long time ago I'd taken one of his CD's out from the library, and found his music pretty exhilarating. I confess not having heard much of him since, but this piqued my curiosity again. Seems like the two different instruments tap two sides of his talent.
