New Year's Eve plans fell through at the last minute. No one else wanted to brave the cold, and I could see why. Maybe tomorrow?
There was a wild party going on upstairs earlier. They're quiet kids, in general. But, you know, everyone is multifaceted.
To better times in 2018!

The only excitement around here on New Year's Eve was having a fire alarm go off at dinnertime and then having to wait for the firemen to come and shut it off. I wonder if they get a lot of that?
Hopefully, the weather will warm up a bit in a day or two. Meanwhile, stay cozy.
I'm trying to figure out why the fire alarm went off, in the absence of a fire, or at least a serious one. Seems likely someone chose the exact wrong spot to spark one up. What the fire dept doesn't know won't hurt 'em, I guess.
We are getting a reprieve from the cold now. I take a scarf with me but don't have to wrap it around my face, for now.
