Bach on vibraphone. Specifically, "Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring." This gentleman whose hands are the only thing we see of him can play it. I suspect Milt Jackson could have as well, given the classical inclinations of the Modern Jazz Quartet. Of course maybe if Bach had lived a couple of centuries later he would have been a jazzman himself. "That cat with a wig can really lay down a groove."

You're right that was a very well played version of Bach's beautiful piece of music. It's always been one of my favorite hymns. Milt Jackson could definitely have done it justice as well - True Blues proved that.
As far as amazing musicians are concerned I couldn't remember if I'd sent you a link to the Chinese musician who played Hotel California in an extraordinary video. It's here if I didn't send it before:

There's another one on youtube of her performing Smooth Criminal on a street in France:

Okay, so then I got very curious about who this young woman might be and I found an article about her after a bit of a search. Her name is
Peng Jingxuan and she's become quite well-known in France.

It's a great piece of music all right. Truly uplifting. And could be played in a number of styles. Of course I've liked Jackson for a while now.
Those are both great performances. I think they're actually two different women, though. The one playing "Hotel California" seems to go by the name Moyun. Although she always seems to keep her face at least partially covered, so it's hard to tell. Either way, it's very cool and kind of interesting to see how western music gets reinterpreted by people from outside the West.
Peng Jingxuan says she's "eager to create a fusion of tradition and modernity" and she seems to be doing that, as well as delighting a lot of listeners across the globe. More power to her.
