Musing

I like doing poetry posts here now and then. Partly because I like poetry, or at least some of it. There is kind of a problem with layout. The site puts a space between every paragraph by default (except when it doesn't.) And since it involves hitting "Enter" it registers each line of verse as a new paragraph. Or new stanza, as they sometimes appear to be with the added spaces.

Anyway, the heat came on tonight. Only the second time this fall, I believe. The first one was back at the beginning of the month. It's definitely not freezing tonight, but you could say it's a little chilly.

See? That's kind of poetic.

"Shift+enter" should work.

When I post a poem to blogger I almost always do so by writing it in text edit first and then copy paste to blogger unless it's a very short poem or verse. I decided to see what would happen if I typed one into the compose page and found you're exactly right. The good news is that Outis's solution works.

Thank goodness he came by.

Inger gave me a t-shirt with one of her teacher's sayings - not sure if it's a poem but I've always liked it:

It's all false.
It's all a dream.
It's all crazy.
It's all over.
It's alright.
Let's see what's next.

Thank you, Outis. I'll be trying that soon.

I've certainly posted poems before, and in the early years I don't remember any problem. Since then the platform has made some changes. These have made some things easier and other things much more difficult or downright impossible. C'est la vie. But yes, Outis's solution does work, as I managed to confirm a few days ago.

It's nice to have good neighbors.

Huh. I'm not sure if that's a poem or not either. It's a fairly good series of statements, though.
