Balmy

It's gotten above 60F during the day the last couple of days. If the weather widget on my laptop is to be believed it's 66F now. It feels cooler than that, but the real cool days of autumn are taking their time getting here.

One thing I can be pleased about is that the high-allergy period seems to have passed. Hope I didn't just jinx it.

Our cool days arrived in a hurry these past 10 days or so. Yesterday we got our first taste of the Strait of Juan daFuca strong winds - so much for the leaves left on the trees after a day of 40-50 mph blasts. But the hummingbird came back this morning so all is well.

I'm happy to know your allergies have settled down.

As far as the upcoming election is concerned there was a nice bit on Bad Cattitude a few days ago. You might have to click on 'let me read it first'.

The cool days--to put it mildly--have now arrived here as well. Seems to be in the 20s tonight. There are a lot of leaves on the ground now but some are still clinging to the trees, and quite colorfully as well. Some little tree has leaves that have gone from green to red. If the hummingbird is still showing up give 'em my regards.

For the most part. Late fall, early winter, always have to keep monitoring.

El Gato had some nice points there. I'm glad that he didn't stake his points much on the outcome of the elections, which were disappointing. Better to have your own thing anyway.
