Been too busy at work lately to check out the news much during the day, so the big news about Dylan came as a surprise. I don't really care about the Nobel Prize in Literature much more than, say, the Grammys, but it is an interesting twist.

I haven't been able to take Nobel prizes seriously since the Peace one was given to Barack Obama in hopes he'd do something good.
It's nice Dylan has been recognized internationally. Visions of Johanna is an excellent oneto feature in his honor. Around the same time he was asked to write 25 words or less about Woody Guthrie and came up with this.
Tom Lehrer said something to the effect that satire died on the day they awarded Henry Kissinger the Nobel Peace Prize.
That's a very nice poem he wrote about Woody Guthrie. What were they thinking, trying to limit him to 25 words? I'd have posted uninterrupted audio of him singing "Visions of Johanna" if I could, but straight video/audio of his music has largely disappeared from YouTube. Much like the Beatles, actually.
