I didn't realize Bob Elliott had died until I saw your post. They were absolutely the best at droll hilarity - the Komodo Dragon still makes me cry with laughter.

Thank you for sending me that link. The author is absolutely right that the Komodo dragon bit is like an Ali G piece - except way less obvious.I have to imagine that plenty of people have listened to them and only slowly realized they were hearing comedy.
