Imitating life

Dripped from ChezEddy on Vimeo.

This short animated film is weird and fun.  It also couldn't be more French if it were served on a baguette.  Sure it's set in New York, but come on.

Not sure where it sits on the digital-analog spectrum.  It almost certainly had to involve some programming, but there could have been some pencils involved too.

You're certainly right about the French influence, but I'm not sure about the digital/analog thing either. I do know I really enjoyed it even though the premise that the end result of all art is Jackson Pollack seemed overly simplistic. Still, it was quite fun to watch.

I'm not sure if they were saying the logical endpoint of all art is Jackson Pollock, although some critics in the fifties did think that. More like "how crazy would it be for someone with this superpower to come across a Pollock?" At least that's my spin.
