One nice thing about living in a semi-coastal area is that you never know when seagulls will show up. Not that they're the friendliest of birds, but they do have a unique sense of melody.

We've definitely got choruses of them here. One time we watched a crow waiting for a seagull to drop its clam on a rock - when it did the crow grabbed it and flew off.
Probably the coolest thing we've seen was the day a flock of gannets were fishing just off shore.
Crows are beautiflly cool in themselves, which I don't think I have to tell you. Of course the seagull probably disappeared. Oh well, temporary setbacks, you know?
Gannets are also fascinating in th dynamic way they dive and fish.
