Being stuck indoors all day, and apparently limited to maybe a few blocks tomorrow, is certainly not fun. How are the people who lost power making out, I wonder?
One odd distraction. There's a car parked in front of one of the houses across the street. It's had its taillights blazing all day, and seems like it will have them going all night, too. If the car has the juice to keep them going. No one seems to know what to do about it, or why the owner has left it like that.

Three feet of snow will definitely get your attention that's for sure. We're glad to hear you didn't lose electrical power on top of the chaos and the hope here is it will be quickly restored to those who did. There are few things worse than sitting in the cold and dark.
Considering there was both a parking ban and a driving ban after a particular time it is odd you should have an abandoned car in front of your place that wasn't dealt with. I imagine the mystery has either been solved or removed by now.
You know I had no idea there'd been so many heavy snowfalls since that one we remember (which I shan't complain about again as the worst ever). Let's hope it doesn't rain on top of the mess you already face there. That could really complicate shopping for food. May spring come soon.
You know it's a big blizzard when they have to delay plowing the streets because the plows are getting stuck. Or that's what I heard anyway. Yeah, I hope the people who lost power got it back the same day, or early the next day at latest. I'm sure most of us would go even more stir crazy without lights and such.
I never really found out what that car was about. A few guys came along during the storm to clean off the windows and look inside, but they couldn't do anything with it. The next day it might have been gone or not but definitely didn't have its lights on anymore. Beyond that, there were other things to think about.
The '78 storm was still quite significant. Didn't get any rain in the immediate aftermath, luckily. You're right that it would have made things even messier and more difficult. Winter seems to have exhausted itself, although we'll be getting (welcome) cooler weather for the next few days.
